Day 1: Enter the Forest
Travel to Bwindi by the most appropriate private road or air route.
Kwezi handles the logistics so the journey into the forest remains seamless.
Check into your forest accommodation and settle into the surroundings.

Day 2: The Gorilla Experience
Early breakfast.
Prepare for your gorilla trekking experience.
Gorilla Trekking
The trek becomes the physical centerpiece of the retreat.
Spend time in the forest with the gorillas under the guidance of your trekking team.
Return to the lodge. Lunch.
Recovery
The remainder of the afternoon is intentionally unstructured.
Rest. Take a bath. Read. Sleep. Or enjoy a recovery and relaxation massage.
No evening workshop is required.

Day 3: Forest Recovery
Slow morning. Breakfast.
A guided forest-bathing experience invites you to move more slowly through the surrounding environment.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

Frequently Asked Questions Before you travel

It ranges from around two to eight hours of walking on steep, often muddy forest terrain. Your pace is matched where possible, and a porter is strongly recommended.

Permits are limited and issued per day. We secure them as early as possible once your dates are confirmed, which is why we recommend booking several months ahead.

Nothing demanding. Day 3 is deliberately built around forest bathing and rest so your body recovers before anything else is offered.

You should be comfortable walking uphill for several hours. There is no fitness assessment and no performance expectation.

Yes, subject to practitioner and destination availability. Sessions are arranged in your accommodation or in nearby natural settings.
