8 Days Uganda Flying Safari Circuit

Head to Entebbe airport and then fly to Pakuba Airfield in the heart of Murchison Falls NP. The flight will take 2 hours and upon arrival you’ll meet our company representative who will drive you to the booked lodge. Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest protected area national park homing four of the African big five animals.

If time allows, you will take an evening game drive to see the best of sunset in Uganda’s savannahs as you spot different animals like giraffes, warthogs, elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, and others. Head to the booked lodge for dinner.

Wake up and head for a morning game drive in the southern part of this protected area this will have different stopovers to watch animals and the main one will be at the hippo pool where bush breakfast will be served. On this point, hippos and many birds will be seen while enjoying a cup of tea/coffee made in Uganda.

After lunch, have a great time watching over water-loving animals on the Albert Nile such as hippos, and crocodiles, and some of the big mammals such as elephants, antelopes, buffalos, and more will be at the bank taking water. The boat cruise is amazing as you will have a great view of the falls from the bottom.

Head back to Pakuba airstrip and this will be another flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park but the flight will take you to Kasese town. Here, you will link up with another tour guide from our company that will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is related to Lake Manyara of Tanzania since it is home to the rare tree-climbing lions.

Apart from the lions, the park is also home to different mammals and birds including migratory birds. Arrive and be welcomed by different animals such as hippos, elephants, warthogs, and more. Arrive at the lodge for dinner.

Like in the Murchison Falls National Park, do it here in Queen Elizabeth National Park as you will take part in game drives and boat cruises to watch the beauty of this park. The morning game drive will introduce elephants, mongoose, tree climbing lions, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, leopards, warthogs, and many more.

During the boat cruise that will take place on Kazinga channel, a water body that connects Lake George and Lake Edward, meet different bird species like pelicans, vultures, fish eagles, kingfishers, sacred ibis, check, and many more. Animals that won’t be missed during the cruise are buffalos, mostly the one that has left their herds, bushbucks, crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and others. Return to the lodge with a simple game drive.

Wake up on a leisurely breakfast and then drive to Bwindi using the Ishasha route with a point of meeting the rare tree-climbing lions. The safari trip is zing since you will meet different mammals and birds like elephants, buffalos, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, and many others. Arrive in Bwindi the home of almost half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world and 23 Albertine Rift Valley endemics of birds. Arrive and head to the safari lodge for your dinner.

Today will be a big day on this safari since you will head for gorilla trekking which is a highlight for many tourists while on a Uganda safari. Begin the day with breakfast then briefing at the park offices followed by a search for these beautiful creatures. Meeting them will offer you a chance to spend an hour with them learning and creating memories with them for an hour.

The overall experience lasts for 3 to 8 hours and this depends on the location of the gorilla family trekked or visited. Meet a family practicing its daily routine such as playing m, searching for food, Silverback (head of the family) practicing its leadership skills, females breastfeeding if they have young ones, and more. Later on, head back to the lodge for lunch and leisure.

Leave after breakfast and head to Kihihi airstrip where you will find a scheduled flight to Entebbe airport to mark the end of this 8 days Uganda flying safari.
