Tour Overview
The 3 Days Kibale flying safari is a great adventure where you trek the chimpanzees, also human’s closest cousins. This experience will reward you with an hour in the presence of chimpanzees as the trail is filled with eye-catching moments like birds, butterflies, plants and many small primates like vervet monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons and more.

The flight will take you to Kasese then a short drive to Kibale national park and back. On this tour, visit Isunga Community, a great tourism association in Kibale National Park that will offer you the community walk through the craters and homesteads, enjoy the Isunga homemade coffee experience and more.

TRAVEL ITINERARY

  • Pick up from the agreed place and drive to Entebbe airport to board a flight to Kasese airstrip. This is the nearest airstrip to Kibale National Park, which a home to 13 species of primates hence known as the primate capital of the world.

    Meet the driver guide after an hour and 30 minutes’ flight, drive towards Kibale Forest National Park passing through the craters of Ndali and Kasenda areas. The drive will take about 1 to 2 hours. Arrive and head to the lodge to enjoy the beautiful scenery and weather.

  • Wake up and have your buffet breakfast, followed by a short drive to the park offices where the briefing takes place. During this time, the park warden will cross-check the chimpanzee trekking permits, be told about the dos and don’ts and then be assigned to the park ranger guide.

    Later on, begin the search with fellow trekkers a walk that can last for 5 to 6 hours depending on the location of these primates. An hour will be spent in the presence of these beautiful creatures recording memorable photos and videos. There is a lot to see while in the forest such as birds, plants, butterflies and more. Head back to the lodge for your lunch.

    Visit the Isunga Community near the entrance of Kibale national park for a homemade coffee experience. Learn about coffee growing and then start proceeding to get the powder. You are advised to buy some of the local handmade crafts to support the economy of the locals. Head back to the lodge to enjoy your last night on this safari.

  • Take a community walk in the Isunga at the edge of Kibale Forest with a local guide from the Isunga Cultural Community Tours/Association. Have a great time exploring the crater lakes, crops grown both cash and food crops like Tea, coffee, vanillas and many more others.

    Drive to Kasese airstrip and board a scheduled flight to Entebbe Airport. Meet a tour representative who will take you to Entebbe International Airport to board another flight to home and this marks the end of the safari.
